Milford Beautification Day, an annual community-wide cleanup organized by Citizens for Milford, is set to take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, according to a community announcement.

The event aims to bring together individuals, organizations and businesses to pick up trash throughout town. Volunteers are invited to gather at the municipal parking lot across from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main St. There they will receive supplies, instructions and assignments upon arrival, according to the announcement.

Families, community groups, churches, local businesses and teenagers needing service hours are encouraged to participate. Younger children should be accompanied by an adult.

After the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a free lunch provided by the Milford Lions Club and Rail Trail Flatbread, according to the announcement. Lions Club members will grill hamburgers and hot dogs, while Rail Trail Flatbread will offer samples of New City Microcreamery ice cream.
